Michael lives in Delaware and is married with a six year old son. He dreams of having his own writing room some day and rarely shuts up about it. An epic fantasy series, told from multiple points of view, takes up a large proportion of his writing efforts, but he also enjoys writing short stories. He has been known to take writing breaks by constructing Lego castles complete with barracks, forges and stables.
Legally blind since birth he naturally gravitates to interests that require acute vision. Reading would be impossible for him without his iPad, and therefore he is a strong proponent of eBooks and audio books. Playtime includes romping around with his son, reading, video games, TV shows, and movies.
He lives and breathes speculative fiction, and believes that somewhere down his family tree, Lannister blood must have mingled with the Italian. His idols growing up were Don Mattingly and Dan Marino, but are now George R.R. Martin and Jon Stewart.
Bed times average somewhere around 1:30am, and mornings are non-negotiable without strong coffee.
